In just ten days, you can get rid of that spare tire.

Follow these simple steps to get rid of your stomach in 10 days... Almost all of us are battling that undesired bulge as a result of our recent party-hopping and binge-eating sprees, owing to the festive season. Fitting into our old gowns and slim-fit pants have become something of a challenge. But don't be concerned. Here are some basic strategies that, if followed correctly, can help you lose weight in as little as 10 days.

Get plenty of water.

Water is vital to our system because it makes up roughly 70% of our body weight. However, there is no such thing as too much of anything. As a result, drink 2.5 to 3.5 litres of water each day. Also, stay away from consuming cold water. You can keep leaner by drinking normal or lukewarm water. Toxins are flushed out and the body is hydrated with water. If you don't care for water, try herbal or green tea. Deepshikha Agarwal, a sports nutritionist, recommends using anti-oxidant supplements. "This is a tasty way to include anti-oxidants into your diet." It has the potential to improve your immunological and digestive systems."

Reduce your carb intake.

Many people feel that a zero-carb diet can help them miraculously. While cutting back on it for immediate results is a good idea, going carb-free is a no-no. "Carbs are our energy providers," says Pooja Makhija, a clinical nutritionist. "They should contribute 65-70 per cent of total calorie intake in a day." Carbohydrates must be included in every meal, every day to boost stamina! When the body is properly nourished to be able to burn fat, weight loss will follow."

Boost your protein intake.

For lunch and dinner, serve roasted chicken or fish with steamed veggies. Skimmed milk and milk derivatives are also effective. You will feel fuller for longer if you eat a protein-rich diet. Ensure that your breakfast includes egg whites. Consume small portions and eat at least five to six meals per day.

Avoid fad diets at all costs.

Crash diets are exceedingly dangerous, so avoid them at all costs. "A diet consisting of 30 per cent protein, 60 per cent veggies, and 10% carbohydrates is most good for weight loss," says Dr Smita Naram, an Ayurvedic physician. When it comes to losing weight, eating regular meals every two to three hours (without snacking in between) is ideal.

Slowly eat

Slow down your meals and quit when you're approximately 70% to 80% full. Don't eat too much. When we eat quickly and gulp down food, we end up ingesting far more than our bodies require.

Walk, walk, and then some more.

In the morning or evening, go for a 45-minute brisk stroll. Wear loose-fitting clothing and walking shoes that are comfortable. Begin with a 30-minute stroll and gradually increase to 45 minutes or an hour. Continually do this for ten days.

Crunches can help you save the day.

Have no time to go to the gym? Just do some warm-up exercises before focusing on your abs with crunches (See box). Do this on a daily basis, if feasible twice a day. (After all, don't you want to drop 10 pounds in 10 days?) Throughout the day, whether you're sitting or walking, make sure your tummy is pulled in and your back is straight.

Engage in a stress-relieving activity.

Stress and despair might lead to a lot of emotional eating that isn't necessary. So, take a deep breath and relax. Take up a favourite hobby, such as meditation, reading, watching romantic movies, playing with your dog, or enrolling in a yoga or dance class.

Avoid succumbing to temptation.

When you're about to give up and grab for a chocolate bar, remember yourself what you really want: to look hot in a sultry LBD or to be flabby and obese and hide under an item of sloppy clothing. And you should act accordingly.

Crunches are the most basic crunches.

On your exercise mat, lie down. Keep your knees bent and parallel to the ground. Exhale and lift your shoulder blades off the floor while contracting your stomach and reaching for your knees with your hands behind your head.

Make the most of crunches.

Perform crunches on a bicycle. While doing crunches, paddle each of your legs in the air.

For the next ten days, entirely prohibit the following:

- Sweets - Red flesh

- Foods in cans

- Junk foods such as burgers, pizza, and spaghetti - Cold aerated beverages

- Juices in cans (even if they mention "healthy" on the label)

- Outside food of all kinds

- Refrain from overeating.

Timely sleep is essential.

Weight loss and the quality of your sleep are inextricably related. Lack of sleep at night has been linked to weight growth in studies. Sleep deprivation can boost your desire for unhealthy foods and lead to an increase in your daily calorie intake. You may gain weight as a result of this.

Increase the amount of fibre in your diet

Increase the number of healthful carbs in your diet. Carbohydrates have fibre in them, which bulks out your stool and promotes your digestive health. Fibre keeps you full for longer, stopping you from snacking on bad foods. Fibre can be found in fruits, vegetables, and legumes.

Weight-lifting

Lift some weights in addition to cardio activities. Lifting weights, contrary to popular opinion, can help you burn more calories than doing exercise at rest.
