And among these, there are a few considerations. “Many spreads are mostly combinations of different oils,” says Amy Keating, nutritionist at CR. “Some have more saturated fat, but others have mostly ‘good’ fats that can be healthy additions to your diet.” Complicating matters, you may have heard that some studies have suggested that saturated fat is not such a dietary villain. That’s just not true, says Alice H.
