Mayonnaise is a sauce made from a blend of oil, egg yolks, and vinegar or lemon juice. The origins of mayonnaise are unknown, but it is thought to have originated in either France or Spain. Mayonnaise was first mentioned in print in 1708, and it was referred to as a French sauce. In 1756, a recipe for mayonnaise was published in an English cookbook. Mayonnaise is used as a condiment to add flavor and creaminess to dishes like salads, burgers, and chicken. It is also a great way to add healthy fats to your diet.
